Opened by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1854, this engineering marvel carried the railroad west through the Alleghanies. Take the incline plane to the observational platform or check out the gift shop and snack bar.

Penn Central Caboose Photo Archive- The ex PRR N5C CLASS

The PRR's began building 199 N-5C's in March 1942. The porthole caboose that utilized round windows on the carbody and most end doors, larger streamlined cupola, lower belt rail, no vertical butt strip.
